WAYFINDER

Find your way.

Transformative writing experiences that help people explore their stories, discover meaning, and find their way forward.

What is wayfinder?

Wayfinder is a collection of transformative writing experiences built on a simple belief: within each of us is a story worth exploring.Through guided reflection, storytelling, meaningful conversation, and creative expression, Wayfinder creates space for people to slow down, look within, and explore the experiences that have shaped who they are.Whether discovering who we are becoming, navigating a period of change or recovery, searching for greater meaning in our work, or reflecting on a lifetime of experiences, writing can help us better understand where we have been, recognize where we are, and imagine where we might go next.We all have a story. We all have a path. Sometimes, we just need help finding the way.

The WAYFINDER Method

A journey inward. A way forward. At the heart of Wayfinder is the Wayfinder Method—a reflective framework designed to guide people through a journey of self-exploration, meaning-making, and personal growth.Using reflective writing, storytelling, conversation, and creative exploration, the Method invites participants to move through seven symbolic stages of the human journey:

01.

Shelter

Creating safety and space

02.

fire

Igniting the inner spark

03.

water

Exploring emotion and healing

04.

food

Discovering what nourishes us

05.

compass

Finding direction and purpose

06.

beacon

Sharing our stories with others

07.

pinnacle

Integrating what we have discovered

Each stage creates an opportunity to explore a different dimension of our lives—from the stories and experiences that have shaped us to the values, relationships, and sense of purpose that help us determine where we are going. The Wayfinder Method serves as the foundation for Wayfinder Journeys, structured multi-week experiences designed for different populations and stages of life.

About

Meet the Creator of Wayfinder
Stephen Terranova
Stephen Terranova is an author, speaker, Certified Journal Therapy Coach, and creator of the Wayfinder Method. After spending more than twenty years building a career in the financial services industry, Stephen began exploring a different question: What does it actually mean to find your way?Drawing from his experiences as a writer, business leader, facilitator, and student of the human journey, Stephen created Wayfinder as a way to help people explore their lives through writing.Today, he facilitates reflective-writing experiences with recovery communities, young people, older adults, community organizations, and conference audiences. His work is built around the belief that writing can create something increasingly rare in our lives: the space to slow down, listen to ourselves, and discover meaning within our own experiences.Through Wayfinder, Stephen invites others to do what writing has helped him do throughout his own life:Look within. Explore the story. Find the way forward.
